Child Development Center Philosophy
The philosophy of the Brookhaven United Methodist Church Child Development Center is to provide and maintain a Christian environment in which children may experience success as they develop the physical, emotional, mental, creative, social, and spiritual aspects of their personalities. Concurrently, we will also provide a program high in quality, stability, and continuity to out children’s families.
Our goals are:
• To provide loving care for the children within the Christian environment of the Center.
• To carefully select all personnel and equipment so as to effectively prepare the children for academic readiness coupled with Christian ideals for living.
• To help the children feel good about themselves, their families, their heritage, their beliefs, their abilities and their language.
• To plan a program and environment designed to help the child grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically and socially.
In doing so, we hope to help children become productive citizens of the world of today and tomorrow.
